Adapative scopes can’t explicitly find sites belonging to Teams shared channels (see the documentation https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/purview/purview-adaptive-scopes?WT.mc_id=M365-MVP-9501), but according to Joanne Klein (who spends a lot more time working on retention processing than I do), Teams private channels are in scope. See https://joannecklein.com/2022/04/10/adaptive-policy-scopes-targeting-sharepoint-site-templates/ for her coverage on the topic.

1.apply private channels policy for SharePoint sites with managed path as sites , retention period as 12 months
2.apply private channels policy for SharePointsites , teams managed path, retention period as 6 months.
3. Exclude some m365 groups and private channels from both the above policies 1 and 2
